Lesser Yellowlegs

From Graham Brace: There was no sign of the Lesser Yellowlegs in and around Llangwm and
Edwards Pill this morning or along the tideline at Llangwm Ferry.
However, with the tide being low it was impossible to see if it was
lurking out of sight in one of the gullies. There were numerous
redshanks, including several juveniles, four greenshanks, and two little
egrets. I was rewarded by watching a kingfisher fishing in the stream
(unsuccessfully it seemed) from a mud ‘cliff’ in the middle of the Pill.
I am pleased that Pam and Phil B saw the LY briefly yesterday evening which endorsed my sighting of it in the same spot.

I’ll do another recce later on this evening and again tomorrow morning.
