Rabbits are mammals from the Leporidae family, which can be found in many parts of the world. Rabbits reproduce by giving birth which is called viviparous. Previously, these animals were wild animals that lived in Africa to mainland Europe. Tiger Piaman
In its development, in 1912, rabbits were classified in the order Lagomorpha. This order is divided into two families, namely Ochtonidae (a type of pika who is good at whistling) and Leporidae (including rabbits and hares). The origin of the word rabbit comes from the Dutch language, namely konijntje which means “rabbit”. This shows that the people of the Archipelago began to recognize rabbits during the colonial period, even though on the island of Sumatra there was one native species of the Sumatran rabbit (Nesolagus netscheri) which was only discovered in 1972.
