Another visit to both stillwaters with Paul. Rosebush: 32 Mallard, 6 Goldeneye (2 m, 2 f and 2 1w), 3 Tufted duck (m, 2f), 3 Moorhen. Llys-y-fran: Lots of gulls already on the water when we arrived with impressive numbers of BH gulls (1,750 at 4:30pm had easily risen to 2,000 at dusk) LBBs by comparison looked a few 1,000 short, no count made. 6 Yellow-legged gulls (5 adult, 1 1w), 9 Med gulls (6 adult, 2 1w, 1 3cy). c10 Common gull. 1 1w GBB. A leucistic BH gull. Gull of the watch was an adult Kittiwake, only the second I’ve had here. 2 Little egret came in to roost on the opposite bank. Single Little grebe.
