Bit of a damp morning. First stop was Newgale to check the flooded campsite for Water pipits, but only a dozen Rock pipit, couple of Meadow and a smart Grey wagtail. A few snipe were flushing on the marsh the culprit was most probably the hunting Kestrel. A Chiffchaff in the reeds behind the Duke. 5 Chough in sheep field on Penycwm side. Only duck visible on a choppy sea was a pair of Teal close in by the outflow. Drizzle had restricted the viewing too far out. Broad Haven: just 30 Scoter, 4 RT diver and 2 GN diver. Flock of 26 Med gulls. 2 Chough. Black redstart, Grassholm Place, Broadway. Met up with Derek at the Gann: 33 Brent, 15 Med gulls, 5 Greenshank, 3 Grey plover and 1w GBB sporting a Skokholm ring a bit distant but looked like W:418 before the rain eventually sent us packing.
