Teifi – waders

The first day of small wader passage exceeding 100 today. A flock of 33 Whimbrel left mid afternoon as the small wader flocks started to arrive. By 8pm 7 Sanderling, 100 Dunlin, 50 Ringed Plover and 3 Grey Plover. On the early high tide this morning I managed to get the colour ring combination on one of the 3 Bar-tailed Godwits, more on this bird soon. We still have breeding plumage Lapwing feediing on the reserve – interesting.
